We are hiring a Storage Architect to design, implement, and support the storage architecture for a modern OpenShift-based private cloud platform. The role will ensure scalable, secure, resilient, and compliant storage for hybrid environments, supporting both VMware and container workloads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimize Pure Storage + VMware integration while leading OpenShift private cloud storage design.

  • Define standards, reference architectures, and best practices for persistent storage in Kubernetes/OpenShift.

  • Implement and support CSI drivers, dynamic provisioning, snapshots, replication, and storage tiers.

  • Design HA, DR, backup, and data protection strategies.

  • Drive performance, scalability, and cost optimization across the storage stack.

  • Support workload onboarding and guide application teams on storage design.

  • Collaborate with automation teams on Zero-Touch provisioning workflows (PVC/contract-triggered provisioning).

  • Define metering and consumption strategy (IOPS, throughput, capacity) for tenant billing.

  • Embed governance, security, and compliance controls (encryption, access control, auditability).

  • Provide L3/L4 support, monitoring standards, runbooks, RCA, and continuous improvements.


    Requirements

    • 8+ years in infrastructure/storage engineering; 3+ years in architecture roles.

    • Strong hands-on experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes storage.

    • Deep knowledge of CSI, block/file/object storage, HA/DR architectures.

    • Experience designing multi-tenant enterprise platforms with governance, security, and compliance.

    • Hybrid cloud architecture experience (on-prem + public cloud).

    • Strong Linux, networking fundamentals, and automation (Ansible, Terraform, GitOps).

    • Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication.

    Nice to Have

    • OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF), Ceph, Portworx, OpenEBS, NetApp, Dell.

    • Public cloud storage: AWS (EBS/EFS/S3), Azure (Disk/Files), GCP.

    • Certifications: RHCE/OpenShift, CKA/CKAD/CKS, AWS/Azure/GCP.

    • Experience in regulated enterprise environments (SOC2, ISO, PCI, HIPAA).

    • Background in Platform Engineering / SRE.
