QA Engineer

We're looking for a QA Engineer to join our team and play a key role in SMART Technologies' migration from Google App Engine to Amazon ECS. You'll be responsible for ensuring quality and stability throughout this transition, designing and executing test strategies that validate every stage of the migration while keeping existing services running smoothly.
Day to day, you'll build and maintain automated test suites, collaborate with developers and infrastructure engineers to define acceptance criteria, triage defects, and verify that migrated services perform as expected in their new ECS environment. Your work will be critical in giving the team confidence to move forward at pace without compromising reliability.

• Must have — Strong hands-on experience with AWS (particularly ECS) and familiarity with Google App Engine, since you'll be working across both environments throughout the migration.

• Should have — Experience with Robot Framework for building and maintaining automated regression and integration tests.

• Nice to have — Working knowledge of MongoDB for data validation during the migration, and Java experience to support any application-level migration work.
